Manufacturing Month Virtual Roundtable Events

Conversations to support Michigan's small manufacturers

Thank you for playing such an important role in helping us celebrate Michigan’s $105 billion Manufacturing Industry.

Manufacturing Day, October 2, is an annual national event that brings together hundreds of manufacturers to host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.

MGA will celebrate manufacturing all month. Join us in the celebration and generate awareness of the importance of Manufacturing in Michigan by attending one of our four virtual roundtable events below.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our virtual celebration!

MFG Month Roundtable #3 | Managing a Multi-Generational Workforce
Small manufacturers are navigating a multi-generational workforce. There are a number of benefits and challenges to work through. Join MGA in a robust conversation with industry experts and share your insights.

On Tuesday, Oct 6th, we had our first MFG Month Roundtable - Attracting and Retaining the Right Talent to celebrate MFG Month.

Panelists discussed how employing a skilled workforce is more complex and challenging than ever before. If you missed it, you can still learn about talent acquisition best practices from experts and manufacturers.

On Tuesday, Oct 13th, we had our second MFG Month Roundtable - Automation and Industry 4.0.

An engineer and a manufacturing company owner discussed challenges in the marketplace for small manufacturers. View the video to learn more how automation and Industry 4.0 technology are being used to fill in where human talent is lacking.
