The Manufacturing Growth Alliance (MGA) is a membership-based organization that provides services to help manufacturers build smart, lead strong, and establish a pathway for future growth. Our services drive solutions that will make manufacturing in Michigan the most competitive and prosperous in the nation.

We serve all sectors of manufacturing, including but not limited to food, plastics, automotive, beverage, electronics, etc. Our team is committed to listening and building the right level of services to help small manufacturers with internal operations and growth strategies.

Executive Director - Jennifer Deamud

Jennifer M. Deamud is the Executive Director of the Manufacturing Growth Alliance. Deamud is an accomplished authentic and humble executive with over twenty years’ experience leading teams, establishing strategic direction and achieving operational excellence. Respected for helping organizations innovate, thrive and grow. Known for optimizing resources to achieve core mission while satisfying stakeholders. Well-known throughout Michigan and nation as a forward-thinking leader who has a passion to serve.


Deamud earned a master’s degree in Public Administration and a second master’s degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University (GSVU). She has participated on a number of national, state and community boards including the America’s SBDC Board, America’s SBDC Accreditation Committee, Michigan ATHENA Board, Michigan Main Street Council, Grand Rapids Chamber’s ATHENA Council, Woman’s Resource Center Board and Vice President of the Byron Days Festival Board. Deamud also spends time as a Girl Scout troop leader and as a mentor to women exiting jail.


Deamud has received recognition for her leadership and community involvement throughout her career including being selected as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan, YWCA Tribute Award for Community Service, Grand Rapids Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty” award, the LeAnne Moss Service award from Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women and the National Association of Small Business Development Center’s Michigan State Star Award.

Kinexus Group's Sr. Director of Business Development - Dan Peat

Dan Peat serves as MGA’s Board Secretary and Treasurer. Dan is also Kinexus Group's Sr. Director of Business Development and has served the organization in a variety of leadership roles from directing our business and economic development teams to delivering customized trainings for employers.


Although he got his first experience with the company as an intern in 2008, he has been a full time member of Kinexus Group since 2012. In addition to his duties at Kinexus, Dan and his wife Leah own and operate a craft hard cider manufacturing company, Peat's Original Cider, which has a production space in Paw Paw and a taproom/bowling alley in Stevensville, MI.


Dan received his MBA from Michigan State University and can be frequently found chasing or being chased by his three young children and doing his best to make time for a trip or two to the Upper Peninsula with his family.
