About the Event
Manufacturers in the Upper Peninsula, Northeast Michigan and across the globe are facing challenges like they have never seen before – an uncertain economic and political climate; trade wars; global supply chain issues; skilled labor shortages; and the pressure to move to Industry 4.0 and innovate even more.
Industry 4.0 is defined as the convergence of digital and physical technologies, including artificial intelligence, 3D printing, robotics, augmented and virtual reality.
Michigan launched an Industry 4.0 Initiative that will help drive awareness of the importance of 4.0, technical support, and to help employers adopt the changing technologies.
Join us to hear about Michigan’s Industry 4.0 Initiative, how to access the knowledge, resources and tools. Statewide partners of the Industry 4.0 Initiative will talk about the Leadership Evaluation provided by Automation Alley, the Technology Assessments offered by MMTC. We will also talk about the regional resources provided through the Manufacturing Growth Alliance and the Economic Growth Institute. Through the regional resources manufacturers will hear about how to be considered for a $10k industry 4.0 implementation grant.
The Manufacturing Growth Alliance (MGA) is a membership-based organization that provides services to help manufacturers build smart, lead strong, and establish a pathway for future growth. MGA’s services drive solutions that will make manufacturing in Michigan the most competitive and prosperous in the nation.
