Restarting Michigan! A Conversation for Small Manufacturers Event

Dear Michigan Manufacturer,

It’s no surprise that COVID-19 has caused a disruption in many key industries. The state and country will restart and being prepared will be essential for the economy to rejuvenate. The Michigan Manufacturing & Technology Association (MMTA) is hosting Restarting Michigan: A Conversation with Brian Calley, President of the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), to prepare Michigan’s small manufacturers for the green light.

The facilitated conversation will focus on the following key areas:

  • Recommendations from state leaders to restart Michigan

  • What restarting means for manufacturers

  • Unique opportunities and challenges for manufacturers

  • How manufacturers can prepare to reopen

  • Available COVID-19 resources for manufacturers, such as SBAM, funding, labor, OSHA, etc.

Registration is required to attend the virtual Zoom meeting on Thursday, April 23 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. To register for Restarting Michigan, visit our event page. We hope you are able to participate. If you have questions to ask Brian, please feel free to send them to me prior to Thursday (Jenn@mimfgmatters.org) or ask the questions in the chat box during the conversation.

MMTA is here to help you navigate resources and help you think about resuming your manufacturing after Michigan restarts. If you have any questions or want immediate support, please contact me directly.

With Gratitude, Jennifer Deamud Executive Director Michigan Manufacturing & Technology Association (MMTA)
